Our Elders

Joshua Brown

Joshua currently serves as an active-duty Marine and is quickly approaching retirement. He has a passion for serving the military community and their families, discipling young married couples, building community, reaching the lost, hospitality, and preaching the Word of God.  Joshua and his family have been a part of the Praetorian Project since 2017.  He and His wife Brittany, along with their 3 children, felt led to join the church planting efforts to launch Pillar Topsail, late in the Summer of 2020.   

 

Bobby Gomez

Bobby is an active duty member of the United States Coast Guard currently stationed in Wilmington, NC. He has a passion for connection, fostering relationships, and seeing people grow in their faith and understanding of the Lord. He and his wife, Maura, have been married for eighteen years and have the blessing of raising four daughters: Victoria, Genavieve, Vivian, and Juliette.

 

Paul Bailey 

Paul currently serves as an active-duty Marine and loves serving in a military community. He leads a men’s discipleship group, preaches regularly, and serves alongside Joshua in the leading of Pillar Church of Topsail as part of a plurality of elders. He has a passion for youth ministry, deeply studying the Bible, and following God’s leading in the adventure of life. Paul and his wife, Aimeé have been a part of churches in the Praetorian Project since 2014, and God has blessed the Bailey family with five children.

Our Deacons

John  and Maggie Tolleson

John and Maggie Tolleson married each other in December of 2018 and have lived in Onslow County since then. John spent five years as an active-duty Marine, and together they encountered the unique challenges of military life. John currently serves as one of Pillar Topsail’s worship leaders, where he gets to live out his passion for Christ-centered, Bible-fueled worship. 

Jack and Angela Lowder

Jack currently serves as an active-duty Marine in the Camp Lejeune area. He and Angela have a passion for serving Christ in the military community, discipling Marines and their spouses, and serving Jesus in whatever ways possible. They felt led to join the church planting efforts to launch Pillar Topsail, late in the Summer of 2020.   They also have a love for all things coffee related.
