Our Elders

Paul Bailey

Paul currently serves as an active-duty Marine and loves ministering in a military community. He enjoys discipleship, preaching, and helping lead Pillar Church of Topsail as part of a plurality of elders. He also has a passion for youth ministry, deeply studying the Bible, and following God’s leading in the adventure of life. Paul and his wife, Aimeé have been a part of the Praetorian Project since 2014, and God has blessed the Bailey family with five children.

Joshua Brown

Joshua is a retired Marine with a passion for serving the military community and their families. He also loves discipling young married couples, building community, reaching the lost, hospitality, and preaching the Word of God.  Joshua and his family have been a part of the Praetorian Project since 2017.  He and His wife Brittany, along with their 3 children, felt led to join the church planting efforts to launch Pillar Topsail, late in the Summer of 2020.   

 

John Tolleson

John spent five years active in the Marine Corps., and currently enjoys life as a reservist. He has a deep love for biblical theology, preaching and teaching, and discipling people in God’s Word. He also loves reading widely, watching action movies, and playing sports. He and his wife Maggie have been married four years, have two young children, and are both passionate about biblical parenting.

Our Deacons

Jack and Angela Lowder

Jack currently serves as an active-duty Marine in the Camp Lejeune area. He and Angela have a passion for serving Christ in the military community, discipling Marines and their spouses, and serving Jesus in whatever ways possible. They felt led to join the church planting efforts to launch Pillar Topsail, late in the Summer of 2020.   They also have a love for all things coffee related.

Isaiah and Gabriela Walker

Isaiah and Gabriela Walker have been married since 2021 and are both active-duty Marines stationed on Camp Lejeune. They have been members of Pillar Church of Topsail since November of 2021, and love seeking ways to become more involved with the church, its members, and the community. They recently welcomed their son in January of 2023 and are loving every second of living life as a family of 3.
